Ingram named to N.C.-S.C. all-star game

Chapel Hill senior point guard Denzel Ingram is the only Triangle-area player named to the N.C./S.C. All-Star Men's Basketball Classic. The N.C. roster was released today for the game, which will be played on March 17 at Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The men's game will follow the women's game, which has not yet released its roster.

On Friday, March 16, there will be a 3-point contest and dunk contest beginning at 7 p.m. at Myrtle Beach High School.

Ingram is averaging 21.3 points per game this year for the undefeated Tigers (22-0), who are ranked No. 1 in the N&O area poll as well as the statewide 3A poll.
