How high should the Broughton girls go?

Bookmark and Share

How far should the Broughton girls rise in next week's N&O poll?

The Caps defeated previous No. 1 Wakefield 49-44 on Tuesday night. Undefeated Apex is expected to move to the top spot, but how high should the Caps go? Broughton (18-3) was No. 5 in the last poll behind Wakefield (now 22-2), Apex (20-0), Western Harnett (21-0) and Southeast Raleigh (16-2).

But how much weight should knocking off the No. 1 carry?

Knocking off the number one team should carry a lot of weight. Yes Wakefield has a good team, and I believe highly over rated. I believe Broughton Lady Caps have continued to improve and show who they are.  I think N/O should give the girls there due.  Beating the # 1 team is great, N/O should speak to how and why the lady Caps beat Wakefield not how come Wakefield lost but how the Lady Caps Won. because of sound defense, free throw's etc.     Winning the GSK, and beating Hillside, Broughton was predicted by N/O to loose to Hillside.  This win was a huge moral booster then finally beating Wakefield; yea I think these ladies are on to something.    they should do well in States................ hopefully they will win the respect  those that doubt them from the hecklers and spectators.
