Halifax Academy 36, St. David's 22

RALEIGH — St. David’s defense couldn’t handle Halifax Academy’s rushing game in the eight-man football opener for both teams. Halifax rolled up 373 yards on the ground. St. David’s quarterback Forrest Brandt completed 14 of 34 passes for 312 yards in the loss.
