Garner returns only one offensive starter and one defensive starter, but out-polled Southeast Raleigh, 43-38. The league's coaches predicted the league finish. A first place vote was worth eight points. A second place vote was seven, etc.
Southeast had three first-place votes to Garner's two. West Johnston and Harnett Central had one first-place vote each.
