Fayetteville Britt 27, Wake Forest-Rolesville 16 (final)

Fayetteville Britt defeated Wake Forest-Rolesville 27-16  in the NCHSAA 4-AA Eastern final football game.

Eric Johnson ran 16 yards to salt the win away for the Buccaneers with 1:39 remaining.

N.C. State recruit Everett Proctor broke a 56-yard scoring run for Britt to open the scoring. He added a 63-yard scoring run and threw a 35-yard touchdown pass. Proctor rushed for 149 yards in the first half.

Wake Forest has scored on a Tim Hartman pass to Torry White and a two-yard run by Trea Jones. Hartman added a 23 yard field goal in the third period.

Wake Forest, which blocked the extra point after Britt's first touchdown, blocked a 23-yard field goal attempt by Britt on the second play of the fourth quarter.
