Ejected players must take sportsmanship course

Bookmark and Share

Players ejected from N.C. High School Athletic Association games will be required to take an on-line sportsmanship course before being allowed to participate.

The NCHSAA Board of Directors approval a proposal on Wednesday in Chapel Hill to require any player who is ejected for fighting to colmplete a STAR sportsmanship course on-line before returning to play. The on-line tests takes about 50 minutes.

If a coach is ejected, he must take the coach's STAR course.

The athlete or coach is required to file a certificate of completion with the NCHSAA before returning to participation.
