Dave Schuman, who conducts football combines throughout the country for underclassmen, believes Duke recruit John Drew is a gem.
Drew is a 6-foot-1, 303-pound defensive tackle from Columbus, Ga.
“He is an absolute standout,” Shuman said. “He is a tremendous athlete. He is big, strong and is getting better all of the time.
“He is one of the better players entering the league.”
Schuman also likes Wake Forest recruit Michael Campanaro, a 175-pound running back from Clarksville, Md.
“He is another player who has tremendous potential,” Shuman said. “He has excellent speed and is a deceptive ball carrier.
“He can do a lot of things and is a perfect fit in Wake Forest’s offensive.”
Schuman conducts the National Underclassmen Combines. One is scheduled for April 4-5 at East Chapel Hill and another for Kannapolis Brown on April 18-19.
The fee for players is $85.
