Bookmark and Share

Safety and running back Josh Snead committed to Duke on Monday.

Snead, 5-9 and 180 pounds, will be a senior this season for Smithfield-Selma High School.

Snead has good speed (runs a sub-4.4 in the 40) and is an outstanding student with a grade point average above 4.0.

"Duke's academics appealed to him," said SSS coach Anthony Barbour. "I think he is going to be an outstanding college player."
