Cooley returns to coaching

Dexter Cooley, the athletics director at Raleigh Wakefield High, will return to the sidelines this winter as the varsity boys basketball coach.

Cooley coached boys basketball at Bunn High and Millbrook High before moving to Wakefield as its athletics director.

Wakefield has won two N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A state boys basketball championships in recent years, but Cooley will be its fourth  head coach in the past 10 years.

Best of luck, Coach - hard to replenish the staff after Wake County let Heritage take most of your head coaches... Thanks for stepping up for the boys !
