'Clash at Capel' field finalized

Bookmark and Share
After an NCAA ruling said that the formerly scheduled "Clash at Cameron" a non-scholastic event that could not played on the campus of Duke or N.C. Central, several of the original 36 teams have backed out.

The "Clash at Capel" -- as in Fayetteville State's home arena -- is scheduled for this Saturday with 20 teams. Eighteen of those teams are in-state schools.

Below is the schedule, with the "home" team in bold. The only Triangle-area teams that are participating are the boys and girls teams from Northwood and the Millbrook boys team. The  Millbrook girls were part of the orginal field.
