Cary's Palma wins Dapper Dan

Eloheim Palma, the top-ranked high school heavyweight wrestler in the country, won in the Dapper Dan Classic in Pittsburgh, Pa., this weekend by defeating third-ranked Sean Owens of Clearfield, Pa., the Pennsylvania state champion, 5-3.

"Eloheim controlled the match on his feet," said Cary coach Jerry Winterton.

The Dapper Dan the top ranked high school seniors in the against Pennsylvania's top wrestlers.

Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina and Illinois are among Eloheim's list of recruiting visits.
