Byrd signs with Pack

Cornerback Jarvis Byrd of Pahokee, Fla., who's one of N.C. State's most coveted commitments, has signed with the Wolfpack.

Byrd was thought to be wavering in his commitment in December, but firmed up with the Wolfpack in late January. He is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds and had 60 tackles, 15 passes broken up and three punt blocks as a senior.
