Note: This list was assembled by requesting area high schools to
provide a list of students who are receiving financial aid in
anticipation of the student participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Except in basketball and football, few athletes receive full athletic
scholarships. Many colleges do not give athletic scholarships, but give
scholarships to athletes. Those students, along with students who
received appointments to service academies in anticipation of
intercollegiate participation, are included. Not all area high schools
responded to the requests for scholarship information.
