Ardrey Kell tops Sanderson for 4-A baseball

Charlotte Ardrey Kell defeated Sanderson 1-0 to win the NCHSAA 4-A baseball championship Saturday at N.C. State's Doak Field.

Sanderson starter Max Gagnon allowed only four hits and walked none.

Kell scored the game's only run in the first on a double by Alex Bartolomeo and two fly outs.

Sanderson stranded seven runners on second or third base.

Kell had won the first game in the best of three series 9-5 on Friday night.
