Alfy Hill, one of the top high school football prospects in North Carolina, committed to Alabama this week.
He is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end at West Brunswick High in Shallotte and is ranked among the top prospects in the country.
He had narrowed his decision to Alabama and the University of North Carolina.
Scout.com has seven high school players in North Carolina ranked four stars or higher.
Offensive tackle Rob Crisp of Athens Drive is the only five-star player. He has committed to N.C. Sate.
The Wolfpack also has a commitment from four-star receiver Tony Creecy of Southern Durham.
The other top North Carolina prospects on scout.com's list are Northern Guilford safety Keenan Allen, teammate Gabe Smith, Cary defensive tackle Fre'Shad Hunter, Wilmington Hoggard offensive tackle T.J. Leifheit, and Hill.
