Defending champion Don Slater of Durham shot a 68 that included a double eagle on the par-5 14th hole and finished with a two-day, 6-under-par 136 to win the Senior Division and overall titles at the Durham Senior Amateur Golf Championship on Tuesday at Hillandale Golf Course.
Larry Boswell of Jamestown finished second one shot back after shooting a tournament-low 66 for a 137 total.
In the Super Senior Division, Dave Robinson of Burlington rallied from five shots back and overtook Bob Cox from Gastonia for the title. Robinson shot a final-round 67 for a two-day 140 and a four-shot victory over Cox and Lea Couch.
The tournament, sponsored by G Data Software, offered more than $10,000 in prizes and drew a full field of 120 players.
