Trophies and cash will be on the line Sunday when the state's top motorcycle riders converge at Devils Ridge Motocross in Sanford for the 19th annual North Carolina State Championship Race.
Pros and amateurs will compete in more than 30 classes, and a $5,000 purse awaits the pros. The youngest competitors, ages 4-6, on tiny motorbikes are lots of fun to watch challenge the course.
Action starts Saturday, with practice from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On race day Sunday, practice starts at 7:45 a.m., and the first moto starts at 9:15.
Spectator admission costs $10 for adults and $5 for ages 5-12 each day. Learn more by contacting Devils Ridge Motocross.
