This photo gem comes from shooter Jim Strickland (you can see his "real" work here).
Seems he was surf fishing with some buddies somewhere on Core Banks when this big 'un showed up. Strickland was quick enough to capture the moment. It's a good lesson; we all enjoy the beach, but some creatures have to make a living out there.
Strickland was standing 15 to 20 away and thinks it was a lemon shark of about 6 feet in length.
Be careful out there.
