Weaver Street joins bag brigades -- but purple?

Bookmark and Share

Just got lunch at Weaver Street Market.

"Have you gotten your bags yet?" asked my cashier, Anna. "Members get two free bags." She reached over and pulled out two bright purple cloth bags and started packing my Mediterranean lentil salad and other groceries.

It was kinda nice getting the bags for free. I paid a buck apiece for the Whole Foods bags and told Anna I felt guilty about using them in Weaver Street. (I do feel guilty, but mostly I forget to put them back in the car after unpacking my groceries inside the house.)

"Oh, don't feel guilty," Anna said. "A bag's a bag."

And these you can't miss.
