Entrepreneur magazine highlights Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill gets accused of being hard on business people, but "Entrepreneur" magazine has recognized the town as one of "10 startup-friendly cities" in a feature titled "Where to be an entrepreneur." Also included are other creative-class cities like Portland, Oregon, and Austin, Texas, along with tourist and retirement centers like Orlando and Phoenix.

"Chapel Hill’s entrepreneurial forte is building companies that are globally faceted, with businesses taking advantage of the region’s increasing connections to India, China and the Persian Gulf," according to "Entrepreneur," which says RTP is "the most famous brains-to-boardrooms facilitator in the world. After so many decades, it's providing exponential dividends for Chapel Hill, whose educated work force, established startup culture and resources, and quality of life mean that the whole world is watching to see what it will do next."
