Elizabeth Edwards to sell furniture in Chapel Hill
Elizabeth Edwards plans to open a furniture store in Chapel Hill this October, the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau reports.
Edwards has leased space in Rosemary Village at 400 W. Rosemary St. downtown, near the Greenbridge condo towers.
The store, called Red Window, will feature a mix of styles and prices patterned after a charity store called The Red Door that her mother managed when she lived in Japan, the visitors bureau says.
While on her book tour for “Resilience,” Edwards told reporters that she had bought a large selection of furniture in High Point. Red Window LLC has also obtained a certificate of occupancy from the town of Chapel Hill for the space, according to town public information officer Catherine Lazorko.
The Rosemary Village building is on the corner of Rosemary Street and Mitchell Lane in downtown Chapel Hill. The mixed use building features commercial retail and office space facing Rosemary Street, with 30 feet of window frontage and 38 condominiums ranging from $350,000 to $700,000 according to its Web site.

Will the furniture she supplies be useful for outside the home as well? We sometimes forget that outside spaces such as
pergolas are just as important to furnish well. The better and more comfortably furnished they are, the more likely it is that we will get the best use out of them.

Right now I am still redecorating my new house. I had to hire a company to deal with everything that needed arranged in my home (it's the West Palm Beach remodeling ) and they did a pretty good job. One of the places where newspapers ought to be positioned to do a better job than competing new media is in imposing a sense of credibility, not just in their stories but in the discussion surrounding them. By insisting that comments be associated with a real identity, and refusing to be an avenue for visceral, hateful speech to be spread in the community, the N&O could still be a relevant and important resource. But until I get some evidence that they're moving in this direction, this blog is no longer going to be a part of my daily reading.

The woman is a self-indulgent drone who covered for her husband long after knowing about his relationship with Rielle Hunter----whose baby girl from their long relationship she called an "it"---because she craves a dose of power she has always been ill-qualified for.
Please do the public a favor and stop making excuses for this woman who continually invites media attention.

I think it is wonderful that Elizabeth Edwards keeps moving forward. She is teaching her children and everyone else that, no matter what happens to you in life, just keep moving.
The people who say "she won't go away" are probably the same ones who accuse her of hiding when she is not in the public eye. I admire her for being true to herself and looking after her family. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for her to have gone through all of the things that she has gone through, much less going through them in front of everyone.
It saddens me to see that people are using this blog as a forum to criticize and promote negativity. There is enough negativity in the world as it is.
