Among the coolest things going on around here is the Chorus Project (formerly the Community Chorus Project), a youth vocal group organized by Lauren Hodge that brings together some terrific high school-aged singers and pairs them with local musicians, teachers and filmmakers. These are the kids whose video of R.E.M.' "Everybody Hurts" last year got 30,000 YouTube hits and an enthusiastic thumbs-up from R.E.M. themselves.
They've released another video, this one a verison of The Jackson Five''s "I Want You Back," featuring solos by Ally Copenhave and Presyce Baez. If you could use a little pick-me-up, check it out here.
