Carrboro delays Colleton Crossing hearing

Bookmark and Share

From correspondent Kathryn Ardizzone:

The Carrboro Board of Aldermen postponed a public hearing on Colleton Crossing, a proposed high-density housing development, until Feb. 24.

MBI Development, LLC, is applying for a conditional use permit to build 39 single-family housing units at 8400 and 8420 Reynard Road.

Mayor Mark Chilton acknowledged the delay would inconvenience those at last night's meeting especially for that hearing, but asked them to wait until the town considers all aspects of the issue before submitting comment.

He directed anyone who wants to speak on the issue to attend the Feb. 24 hearing or e-mail their remarks to the town.

"I apologize for the inconvenience but we will continue with this matter in due course," he said.

Uhh huh

I am sure that is why the meeting was cancelled.  No way it would be to try to take the wind out of the sails of the opposition.  No way.

This is Karrboro, after all folks.
