I'm really not one to think that the end of anyone's 40-year marriage is good fodder for great hilarity. It's truly sad is what it is. But the separation of Al and Tipper Gore was so unexpected and seemingly inexplicable and their public personas so huge that I thought this cartoon was pretty clever.

Good riddance to Ruth Sheehan!
Thu, 08/05/2010 - 20:02 — thirdsuvRuth is a textbook example of the idea that "Liberalism is a mental disorder"
Great to hear she's leaving so that she can't damage kids minds who happen to pick up the N&O rag. She did have an influence on me ... she helped convince me that this paper wasn't worth spending money on so I reduced my subscription to Sunday only (wife wanted sunday coupons but I think i'm close to convincing her thats uneeded to).
The only downside of her leaving is that the world may suffer the scourge of yet another lawyer. Oh yeah, thats what we need in America is another lawyer maybe making demands for illegal aliens. Here's hoping you fail miserably but since you're a flaming liberal that should get you through 90% of your classes.
Don't let the door hit you in the backside!
Next step after gay marriage?
Thu, 08/05/2010 - 19:49 — thirdsuvThis is a little down the road that I imagine that the leftists may petition for government sanctioned marriage of. After gay marriage will be polygyammy (hey all agee!) then maybe NAMBLA will get their wishes (why should we discriminate against the youth!) and then it will be animals (I love my dog and he loves me!)
