Still Spinning

Well, got that puppy attached and we're spinning right along. I'm getting a nice mix of color and texture. I'm spinning singles, so what you see there will be the final yarn -- not much good for knitting, most likely, but it's a good candidate for weaving.

A few things I've learned: This chunky monkey yarn tends to get caught up in the guide hooks, so I have to stop occasionally to help it along. And sometimes, a particularly juicy bit of fluff gets hung up in the orifice, usually on the inside hole that leads to the bobbin. A little hudge will usally get it through. Also, attention to  ergonomics is a good thing. And finally, nose fluff is a problem -- little bits of fibers get caught in my nose and make me sneeze. I know --TMI already! But it's good to be informed; just keep a box of tissues nearby.

The Harlot has spun some truly amazing stuff -- this matter of spinning colored top effectively is a problem and she seems to have licked it by not thinking too hard. Often that is the case. I have some fluff that is going to extend my spinning beyond the tour. That is a nice byproduct of indulging in a spree of craft -- it often begets energy & inspiration to do more.

It's a cycle. So to speak.
