I really wish they had open adoption in the 80's. My daughter was born in 85 & I knew she would be better off with a family than with just me but I couldn't bear the thought of never seeing her again. So I raised her. She's turned into a wonderful young woman despite all my mistakes but I feel I cheated her. If I had to do it over, I would go for the open adoption thing.
