They need time to solve this problem and as far as I know from the newspaper they are planing to do it as soon as possible. In the meantime we should appreciate the fact that they installed stairlifts for old people in the main public buildings and they reconditioned some schools.

Sat, 12/06/2008 - 21:08 — sweetseaProbation was obviously not the answer. His butt should have been locked up and this would not have happened. Probation offices are often just places to pick up an unearned paycheck. Every time an offender appears, his mama and lawyers swear what a good boy he is, as in this case, playing drums in the church and in other cases we are told that they are studying for everything from teaching to the priesthood. The whole judicial system including the courts judges are to blame. But at the very root of the problem is poor parenting or no parenting at all. We also need an alternative school system to handle these miscreants. Mixing them with good kids will not help them but it will bring down the good ones in many cases when they are exposed to the drugs, vulgarity and other bad behavior. Public schools will not improve until this is done and the powers that be will have to accept the fact that the enrollees in alternative schools will mirror the racial composition of the prison system. That is who is coming the bulk of the crime.
