Brrracing for a cold day along the Eno

So you don't think that I'm completely crazy, note that the headline says "along" the Eno, not "on" the Eno.

Alan and I are scouting a trip for the backpack book today: a 12.5-mile-or-so stretch along the Eno River, from Fews Ford downstream to West Point on the Eno city park in Durham. True, not all of this stretch is on public land — yet. At the rate the Eno River Association is going of late — buying 65 acres along the river in Orange County in December and another 36 acres Thursday, it won't belong before the river is entirely protected along this stretch.

OK, deep breath, time to leave and walk out into the cold. Fortunately, it's already warmed up to 13.
