Do you have any clothing, toys, small appliances, furniture or other items that are cluttering up your house? Round up all those unused items and take them to the Cary Reuse Rodeo on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 400 James Jackson Ave., is sponsored by the Triangle Reuse Alliance and the Town of Cary.
Participating nonprofit organizations include Dorcas Ministries, The Carying Place, The Scrap Exchange and Share Our Shoes. Items being collected include gently-used clothing, shoes, small appliances, furniture, toys, fabric and more. See a full list of accepted items here.
Please make sure that donated items are clean, in working order and are appropriate for reuse. Donation receipts will be available.
If you have more than one pick-up truck load or are a commercial company considering donating a large amount of material, please contact the Triangle Reuse Alliance directly.
And if you feel compelled to do more than just donate, the Reuse Rodeo is looking for volunteers age 15 and older to lend a hand. Volunteers will assist patrons during the event and unload donated items from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. To sign up, email email@example.com or call (919) 469-4301.
