Bookmark and Share

N.C. State will celebrate Earth Day 2011 on Friday, April 15th by presenting the Story of Sustainability in the Brickyard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and an Earth Day concert at Harris Field at 5 p.m.

Student groups, campus departments, community organizations and fair-trade clothing stores will be on hand for the Story of Sustainability. Patrons can take a tour of games and booths to register to win a Dahon folding bicycle, which is made of 100-percent recycled material and has been donated by Coca-Cola.

The Earth Day celebration will continue on Friday evening with a free concert featuring three local bands: Once and Future Kings, North Elementary and Gray Young.
