Jujube chef/owner Charlie Deal sent out a note about two upcoming wine dinner and the return of Jujubinos on Wednesday nights!
- 7 p.m. Sept. 22, a three-course dinner for $30 featuring the barely sparkling wines of Castillo Perellada, a Spanish winemaker. The courses include serrano ham-wrapped Asian pear with watermelon-cucumber coulis, biscuits with local honey, ripe cheese and basil oil and
sage-roasted chicken with tomato vinaigrette and crispy squash.
- 7 p.m. Oct. 13, a five course dinner for $55 featuring the wines of Anton Bauer. The courses include a chili-encrusted prawns with ginger-pumpkin tartar and mint oil, foie gras and crispy pork belly with green pineapple chutney, pork confit with grape "soup" and pumpernickel frites,
braised duck with cranberries, stewed onions, and mashable potatoes and grilled rib-eye "cap" with roasted tomato and herbs.
- Each Wednesdays, Jujubinos returns! They feature a list of Italian specials and discount Italian wines by 25 percent.
