Bookmark and Share

The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance is bringing “The Food Dialogues” event and panel discussion to Raleigh on Sept. 19.

Radio personality Lynda Loveland will moderate two panel discussions featuring North Carolina farmers and others employed in food production, food scientists, health professionals and leaders in the food service industry.

The panel discussions will be followed by questions from the audience. The first panel will answer questions about organic and conventionally grown food production and health and safety concerns. Another panel will focus on North Carolina farming and how it has changed in the past 30 years. For information about the topics to be discussed or to see previous sessions, go to fooddialogues.com.

The event is 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S. Salisbury St. It is free and open to the public, but attendees have to register beforehand: goo.gl/28KAuy

It is sponsored by the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and The N.C. Animal Agriculture Coalition.
