If you think your barbecue sauce is so tasty that it will wow a panel of judges, here's your shot to prove it.
NCBBQ.com is sponsoring its second annual "Pit Master's Choice Awards: North Carolina's State Sauce Competition," this fall in Raleigh. Any North Carolina resident can enter.
The contest will be Nov. 7 at Raleigh's Ray Price Harley-Davidson in conjunction with the dealership's annual barbecue cookoff and blood drive.
The competition has two divisions: amateur and professional. Then you can enter a sauce in the Eastern style, Western style and non-traditional categories.
The judges include N.C. barbecue expert Bob Garner, food critic J. Scott Wilson, sanctioned barbecue competition judge Jerry Snead, Wake Tech chef-instructor Fredi Morf and Ned Perry, we assume an experienced barbecue eater since he represents "the voice of the people."
For all the details and an entry form, here is the Web site.
