R&R Grill opens on Franklin Street

The R&R Grill opened this week at 137 E. Franklin St. in Chapel Hill.

Father and son team, Rob and Ross Moll, spent more than a $1 million to update the 5,300-square foot space formerly occupied by Goldie’s Grill and Papagayo’s. The renovation includes a new kitchen, a 3,000-square foot covered patio and granite bar tops. 

A press release describes the menu as American cuisine with most entrees under $20 and pizza and burgers under $10. They also serve a late-night menu starting at 10 p.m. 

The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. Hours are 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Tuesday, and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday-Saturday.

There will be a grand opening celebration Aug. 14 and 15.
