Bookmark and Share

Reminder: Counter Culture Coffee, a Durham coffee roaster, and Copa Vida Coffee, a Durham coffee shop, are hosting a latte art competition to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti.

The competition happens TONIGHT at 7 p.m.. Baristas will pay $5 to enter the competition. They will have one chance to pull a shot of espresso, steam a pitcher of milk and combine the two to create a design on the top of a latte. Judges will score the drinks based on creativity, symmetry and style.

The event is free and open to the public. Donation jars will be available for those who would like to contribute to the cause.  Funds raised will go to Partners in Health, a group working in Haiti to help the earthquake victims.

The coffee shop is located at 816 Erwin Road, Durham.
