The other night, we celebrated a friend's recent nuptials in Finland with a girls' dinner of pizza and cupcakes. The hostess ordered two dozen cupcakes from The Cupcake Bar, an online cupcake delivery business without a storefront yet.
Even though I have written a story about the sisters, Anna Branly and Katie Braam, behind The Cupcake Bar, I had never eaten their cupcakes. Well I can tell you that they are now my favorite cucpakes in the Triangle. They were moist with wonderfully complex flavors. We tried the Mexican chocolate and Grasshoppers. The chocolate cupcakes were spiced with cinnamon and topped with chocolate-cinnamon icing. I shiver just thinking about them.
I can't wait to have a reason to buy a round of those cupcakes.
