It's time for the German Christmas Market

Bookmark and Share

Guglhupf Baker, Patisserie and Cafe in Durham hosts its annual German Christmas Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. That's Dec. 10.

It's a takeoff on the Weihnachts Markt so popular in German villages, where folks can get a bite to eat while they enjoy music, kids' activities and holiday shopping.

At Guglhupf, enjoy bratwurst and kraut, warm apple fritters and handmade Lebkuchen, a glass of fruit-and-spice-infused Gluhwein, mulled cider, beer or a hot toddie.

Live music will be provided by Down River, The Josh Pepper Band, Bull Town Strutters, The Blue Tailed Skinks and The Eno Mountain Boys.

An exhibit and sale of art and collectibles coordinated by Outsider Arts & Collectibles of Durham is also on tap, along with a book drive for Book Harvest.

Guglhupf Baker, Patisserie and Cafe is located at 2706 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. For information, visit www.guglhupf.com or call 401-2600.
