Why not spend your Halloween competing in the second annual Chili and Salsa Cookoff in Hillsborough?
The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the contest from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 31. Contestants should bring their chili and salsa entries to 228 S. Churton St. There is a $10 entry fee for chili or salsa or $15 for both. The judges will choose a first and second place winners.
Folks also are welcome to come to the cookoff to eat. Five samples of either chili or salsa will be on sale for $5. The public will choose people’s choice awards.
There also will be music, games and entertainment for children and a costume contest.
