The Carrboro Greenspace Film Series is offering a slate of food documentaries during the next three months:

At 8 p.m. Sunday, the movie "Sludge Diet" will air followed by a discussion led by Sue Dayton and Nancy Holt of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League about sludge in North Carolina.

At 8 p.m. Sept. 13, the movie "Homegrown" will be shown followed by speaker Tom Phillpott, a food writer for Grist.org

The film to air at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 is yet to be announced. We'll share more information as it becomes available. The films could be "Food Fight," "Fresh," or "Food, Inc.

The films air on the bamboo-fenced lot in front of Weaver Street Market, behind the Spotted Dog on Weaver Street in Carrboro.
