Looking for weekend plans?

Hinnant Family Vineyards is hosting a chefs' cooking competition from 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday, June 5. Eleven chefs, including Brian Battistella from Battistella's New Orleans Kitchen and Clifton Vogelsberg of Solas, will compete to create the best dish using their wines. The public can pay $50 to come out to the Pine Level vineyard, taste the food and drink the wines.

The event is a fundraiser for children and adults with disabilities in RHA Howell's residential care facilities in eastern North Carolina.

The press release describes the dress code as "snappy cocktail." I have no idea what that means and neither do the fashion experts that sit next to me so if anyone can enlighten us, please do.
