I got 10 tickets today to the Southern Ideal Home Show, which is Sept. 23-25 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.

I wrote last week about former Top Chef contestants Kenny Gilbert and Erika Davis cooking at the show. Here are the details:

Gilbert of "Top Chef," and Davis of "Top Chef Just Desserts," will cook together on stage at 1 p.m. Sept. 23 and 11 a.m. Sept. 24. Gilbert will cook alone at 5 p.m. Sept. 23, and Davis will take the stage alone at 3 p.m. Sept. 24.

Tickets cost $9. For more information, go to

If you would like to win two tickets to this event, leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post by 5 p.m. TOMORROW. I'll choose a winner at random and mail them out Monday.

Would love to take my lady to the Southern Ideal Home Show.  She hasn't quite embraced all-that-is-Southern yet, but we are making progress.  State Farmer's Market Seafood House soon.  Gilbert & Davis would be incentive to see rest of SIHS.
