The Eno River Farmers Market in downtown Hillsborough is focusing on soil life from 8 a.m.-Noon Saturday, June 12.

Come to the market to buy food for your family and learn about composting, gardening and beneficial bugs. Some activities include:

  • Suzanne Tilton, aka The Butterfly Lady, will be on hand teaching about butterflies, caterpillars, cocoons and butterfly gardening. At 11:30 a.m., she will do a butterfly release.
  • There also will be bug-crazed cupcakes for sale, bug-related crafts for kids and cooking demonstrations of root vegetables.
