Ed Mitchell to appear on Today show Thursday

Pit master Ed Mitchell will be cooking ribs on the Today show Thursday morning.

Mitchell is a well-known barbecue man originally from Wilson. He now co-owns The Pit in downtown Raleigh with Greg Hatem, who runs Empire Eats

The show airs on NBC-17 from 7 a.m.-11 a.m.
