Chef Hugh Acheson to speak with historian Michael Twitty at Stagville Saturday

Bookmark and Share

Culinary historian Michael Twitty invited chef Paula Deen to come cook with him this Saturday during his presentation at Durham's Stagville State Historic Site.

Twitty's blog post was the darling of social media after Deen's demise for her admitted use of the 'n' word. Deen has not responded to Twitty's request but chef Hugh Acheson, a judge of Bravo's "Top Chef," offered to help Twitty cook a fundraising dinner Saturday night and will speak on a panel with Twitty at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
