Michelle Obama, her wardrobe, weight and shoes

Bookmark and Share

I got a real chuckle out of this article in the New York Times about Michelle Obama, her clothes, her husband's thoughts on her clothes, watching what she eats and exercise.

Her husband not only notices what she wears (he calls her gray metallic belt her "Star Trek" belt) but he's like many husbands in questioning how many pairs of shoes their wives have. Here's an excerpt from the story ...

She teasingly imitated him: “You didn’t need any more shoes. The shoes you had on yesterday were fine. Why can’t you just wear that for the rest of the presidency?”

Sound familiar? I mean, except for the presidency part?

Also interesting to note that she struggles with keeping weight off her hips, how she disguises any extra pounds with pleats and how her favorite food is French fries.

(Here's a picture of Michelle recently working on the new White House garden.)
