UNC is one of three universities Cole Haan will with a trunk show next week, an exclusive shopping event to promote Maria Sharapova's new footwear and handbag line called Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan.
The line also be going to Vanderbilt University and UVA.
Not in a UNC sorority? Don't expect an invite. The show is for sorority sisters only.
Oh, and their moms aren't invited either.
Apparently, the show is designed to help Cole Haan reach younger shoppers with newer, edgier styles. "With this partnership, Cole Haan branches out to a previously untapped market, offering fashion forward designs with edgier silhouettes and unique embellishments," the company says in a statement.
The show hits UNC Sept 23 from 3-5 p.m.
CORRECTION: The show, which will be hosted by Kappa Deltas, is open to all UNC students, not just sorority girls, and sorry to disappoint but Maria will not be at the show.

Tue, 09/15/2009 - 23:32 — ncsulilwolfAs a former sorority girl myself, this is just all kinds of bad form, if for no other reason than Greeks are some of the best connected on campus and could bring some equally as fashionable, if not more, non-affiliated guests to do some spending. Ohhhhh well.
