Carolina Herrera's artistic wedding gown collection

Bookmark and Share

If you always dreamed of walking down the aisle in a Carolina Herrera wedding gown, 2010 might be the year to get hitched.

Herrera on Sunday showed her spring 2010 wedding gown collection (at Tiffany & Co.'s flagship store on Fifth Avenue) as part of Bridal Fashion Week in New York. All of the gowns were named for artists, with many of them in fabrics representing the artist's style. (The George Seurat gown with dots; the Claude Monet ball gown with handpainted wispy flowers and clouds).

But by far, the most stunning of the bunch was the John Singer Sargent, a column gown in ivory faille with a portrait neckline and embroidered floral brooch. Quite a sophisticated bridal look, minus the feather in the head, of course.
