Business attire coming to the runway

Bookmark and Share

Flip flops to the office? Lots of cleavage showing under that jacket?

The dos and don'ts of office attire will be on the runway Wednesday at Meredith College. The college's School of Business will have a fashion show with 22 student models showing lessons what not to do when it comes to business attire. They'll also have demonstrations on the right ways to wear hair, make-up and accessories for the office.

The show, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at Kresge Auditorium, also will act as a fundraiser for Dress for Success, with proceeds from the show going to the Triangle chapter.

"We want to help students understand how their image will affect their success in interviews, career fairs and in the workplace," said Kristy Eubanks, a faculty member of the School of Business and an advisor to Meredith's Society for Human Resource Management.

Admission is $1.
