Battistella's closing, relocating

Tags: Epicurean

You've got until Saturday, September 27 to get your gumbo fix at Battistella's New Orleans Kitchen (www.battistellaskitchen.com). Owner/chef Brian Battistella says the Raleigh Crabtree Inn, where his restaurant is located, has been sold and is slated to be torn down to make way for two new hotels. He's already looking for a new location.

In the meantime, Battistella is going out with a bang. For his restaurant's last few weeks at the current location, Battistella is offering a new, more ambitious menu - "the one I've wanted to do all along."

You have week left - go during the week when it's not so crowded. Try one of the specials - always a winner!

No word yet, but I'll spread

No word yet, but I'll spread the word as soon as I learn anything.

True New Orleans food

Not like some of the other restaurants we've tried around here. Help the chef find a new location!

Find this Chef a home!

I crave good Cajun food and it is hard to find. I live on the coast here in NC and had printed off the article a few weeks back about this retaurant to try next trip up to Raleigh. I'll keep my eyes open for a new location for Battistella's (hopefully soon).

Mai Oui Cher!

Someone please, please let Chef Battistella know of any location that may be suitable. We can't be denied our Gumbo fix!
