Tom Fetzer's picture

Alert (and knowledgeable and entertaining) local blogger Mark Turner observed that we were using an old picture of state GOP chairman Tom Fetzer online. He's right that we should use a recent photo.  For the record,  the photo above that ran recently with a story was shot a dozen years ago when Fetzer was mayor of Raleigh.

We try to run recent pictures of people.  Personally, I would rather that my blog photo be one from a time when I had more hair (which is to say, hair), and fewer pounds.  I'm thinking that my bar mitzvah picture would have been nice, because it's been downhill since then. Alas, that wouldn't be journalistically cricket.

One thing that is clear is that Tom has aged better than me.

Here is a recent photo of Chairman Fetzer.

And here is a picture on the State GOP web site.

Fetzer's Photo

Must the GOP whine about everything? The N&O should demand TARP funds (Touch-up A Real Photo) for any additional airbrushing. Now, say "Cheesey."

Oh.

I just thought he had made a deal with the Devil.
